Development
What Is It?
“Development” is a function of the board and operates as a committee. Development is responsible for grant writing, an annual campaign and/or annual fundraiser(s) to support the schools general budget. Because tuition covers a small percentage of the cost of educating each student, development is vital to the fulfillment of the school mission to provide quality education for bright students who learn differently and for those who benefit from a small classroom experience.
This year the development team will present its 5th, “A Novel Feast” fundraiser showcasing Oklahoma authors, fine wine and great food from area restaurants. It is held during early November each year. This evening of culinary and literary delights is a feast for the senses. A Novel Feast is held in a private home and attracts up to 100 guests; many of these guests are business and community leaders with no previous connection to our school. We are pleased that by the time the evening is over, our A Novel Feast guests have become friends of Trinity. The 2008 event raised nearly $30,000 for the school.
